Description Badiani is an Italian brand with Gelateria's in the UK, Italy and Spain! We were founded in 1932 and entered the UK market in 2016. What you will be doing: Our Handyman or Maintenance Technician at Badiani plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our gelato stores by managing maintenance tasks and promptly addressing equipment issues. This position requires a versatile individual who can effectively handle both maintenance responsibilities and on-site repairs across multiple locations. Key Responsibilities: - Maintenance Management Develop and execute a comprehensive maintenance schedule for all Badiani locations to ensure optimal functionality of equipment and facilities. Conduct regular inspections of equipment, machinery, and facilities to identify any maintenance needs or safety concerns. Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialised repairs or maintenance services when necessary. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and service contracts - On-site Repairs Respond promptly to maintenance requests from store managers or staff to address equipment malfunctions or breakdowns. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, or plumbing issues and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency. Perform routine repairs and preventive maintenance tasks on coffee machines, refrigeration units, and other equipment as needed. Troubleshoot equipment problems and provide technical support to store personnel as required. - Inventory Management Monitor inventory levels of spare parts, tools, and supplies necessary for maintenance and repairs. - Health & Safety Compliance Adhere to all health and safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe working environment for employees and customers. Conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective actions to address any identified hazards or compliance issues. Ensure that all maintenance activities are carried out following industry standards. Key Requirements: Proven experience in maintenance and repair work, preferably in a hospitality or retail environment. Strong technical skills in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced, multi-location setting. Excellent problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to resolving issues. Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with store teams and external vendors. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or on-call as needed for emergency repairs or scheduled maintenance. Good skills in using email systems for communication and coordination with team members, store managers, and external vendors. Good skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and inventory management tasks. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • To examines drawings and specifications to determine layout of system. • To measures and cuts required lengths of copper, lead, steel, iron, aluminium or plastic using hand or machine tools. • To tests completed installation for leaks and makes any necessary adjustments. • To attaches fittings and joins piping by welding, soldering, cementing, fusing, screwing or other methods. • Work out the quantity of materials needed for the job by taking surface measurements or by looking at job specification or drawings look at plans. • To repairs burst pipes and mechanical and combustion faults and replaces faulty taps, washers, valves, etc. • Performing regular maintenance of plumbing systems to prevent emergencies. Keeping and maintaining records of time spent on a job and materials purchased for the work. • Installing, maintaining, and repairing pipe including joins, valves, drains and fixtures in all types of structures. In addition to the responsibilities referred to above, you must have excellent communication skills and a great sense of innovation and leadership quality. You need to be flexible, self-motivated, organised and time sincere. You must have the ability to work independently as well as a part of team having excellent attention to details. Experience in the similar role for 3 years is desirable.

We are currently in need of a skilled Kitchen Fitter to match the expansion of our business and to meet the enhanced customers’ demand. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The prospective applicant needs to demonstrate the following: · Ensuring compliance with building regulations and health and safety standards. · To examines drawings and specifications to determine job requirements. · To selects and measures appropriate wood and cuts, shapes and drills to specification using saws, planes, chisels and other power or hand tools. · To aligns and fixes prepared wood pieces by screwing, nailing, gluing and dowelling to form frames, shop fronts, counter units, decking, theatrical sets, furniture, small wooden craft, scale models and wooden templates. · To maintains and repairs woodwork and fittings. · To checks accuracy of work with square, rule and spirit level In addition to the responsibilities referred to above, you must have excellent communication skills and a great sense of innovation and leadership quality.
