What do School Governors do, Governors work with the Headteacher and school leadership team to provide strategic oversight and support. Monitoring the school's performance and progress. Providing challenge and support to school leaders. Overseeing aspects of school finances, safeguarding and compliance. Contributing to meetings and discussions about the school's development. Representing the interests of pupils, parents, staff and the wider school community.

Position Overview We are seeking a patient, dedicated and supportive SEN Tutor to provide tailored educational support to children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN). The successful candidate will deliver engaging, individualised tutoring sessions based on each student’s abilities, learning needs and educational goals. The role involves working closely with students, parents and the GoTutors team to help learners build their academic skills, confidence and independence in a positive and encouraging environment. Responsibilities • Deliver individualised tutoring sessions tailored to each student’s learning needs, abilities and pace, • Support students with Special Educational Needs, including learners who may require additional help with communication, concentration, organisation or academic development, • Adapt teaching methods, resources and activities to make learning accessible and engaging, • Support students in subjects including Maths and English, according to their individual level and educational goals, • Develop structured lesson plans and learning activities appropriate to each student, • Monitor and record student progress, identifying strengths and areas requiring further support, • Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to help students develop confidence and independence, • Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding progress, learning objectives and areas for development, • Work collaboratively with the GoTutors team and other professionals where appropriate to provide consistent support, • Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions, attendance, topics covered and student progress, • Follow safeguarding procedures and maintain a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment Requirements • Previous experience tutoring, teaching or supporting children or young people with Special Educational Needs, • A patient, empathetic and adaptable approach to teaching and learning, • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain concepts in different ways according to individual learning needs, • Ability to build positive and professional relationships with students and parents, • Good organisational and time-management skills, • Ability to plan engaging lessons and adapt educational materials for different abilities and learning styles, • A genuine interest in supporting children and young people to achieve their academic and personal potential, • Knowledge or experience of SEN strategies and inclusive education is highly desirable, • Relevant qualifications in education, SEN, teaching or subject-specific areas are advantageous but not essential, • An appropriate enhanced DBS check will be required for the role ( Can be arranged through GoTutors)

A qualified English teacher is required to provide part-time teaching support after school from 4:00 pm onwards and/or on Saturdays from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. The salary is negotiable, depending on experience. An enhanced DBS check is required.

Tutti Music Ltd is recruiting instrumental music tutors in SW6 & SW18, with positions starting from 24 September 2026 onwards. Instruments: Piano | Flute & Saxophone | Clarinet | Trumpet & Trombone | Bagpipes | Female Vocals Pay: £45.50 per hour + additional payment for short bookings We have a range of regular school and home-teaching slots, including daytime and after-school work. Lessons are delivered 1-to-1 and in small groups of up to 3 children, primarily with children aged 5–12. This is a freelance contractor role, with regular weekly teaching during term time — typically around 10 teaching weeks per term. Tutors should be able to commit to their agreed weekly slot for the academic year wherever possible. We understand that tutors occasionally have other commitments, so a small amount of deputy/cover teaching is permitted each term. We are looking for tutors who: • Have a relevant degree and/or substantial experience teaching children aged 5–12, • Are enthusiastic about teaching young children, • Are proactive and reflective in their approach, • Can teach effectively both 1-to-1 and in small groups, • Can provide a DBS certificate registered on the Update Service, or are willing to obtain one, • Are reliable and able to travel to their assigned teaching location, • Have good communication skills and are comfortable completing brief lesson/reporting requirements Multi-instrumentalists may be particularly well suited to the role. TRAINING OPPORTUNITY Current undergraduate students with limited teaching experience are also welcome to apply for a training role, provided they can demonstrate a strong interest in teaching. Training-role pay is £30–£40 per hour depending on experience, with additional support and the opportunity to progress into the experienced tutor role. LOOKING FOR PRIVATE FRENCH AND SPANISH TUTORS We are a small, locally run language school offering classes in French and Spanish to adult learners who are seeking to learn as a hobby.We offer relaxed, fun and sociable classes in small groups. We use a well-structured and professionally designed course, however unlike traditional colleges, our courses do not have heavy writing and grammar components and are intended to appeal to people who would like to take a light-hearted, conversation-based approach to acquiring language skills. Our classes are as much fun for students as they are for the teachers using our delightful, interactive method. We are looking for two to four tutors to teach our French and Spanish classes respectively. This will entail teaching around four evening classes a week in our face to face classes in Swiss Cottage, four morning classes in Hampstead, and potentially four afternoon classes in Camden. Each class is 90 minutes long. The classes will start week 14th September and run for 11 weeks inclusive of a 1 week half term, ending in week 23rd November. Each tutor has the freedom to teach as many classes as they are able to and that are available to teach, as long as they can commit to the full 11 week term per class. The classes will be beginner, improver, intermediate and advanced level. We offer a fully resourced curriculum with clear learner progression. We use a unique teaching method designed by Language for Fun. The tutor will be expected to attend 8 hours of training with the first training session taking place on September 13th. They will also be offered ongoing classroom support over the term. Whilst prior teaching experience is an advantage, it is not essential as our method is comprehensive and provides a simple, easy to follow model for teaching. You do need a lot of passion for the language you’re teaching and a love for sharing the language with others and helping them learn. There will be two monthly social events for French and Spanish respectively which the tutor will also run in October and November. To start September 2026.
