With its subsidiary CEVA Logistics, a world leader in logistics, and its air freight division CMA CGM AIR CARGO, the CMA CGM Group is continually innovating to offer its customers a complete and increasingly efficient range of new shipping, land, air and logistics solutions. \n Committed to the energy transition in shipping, and a pioneer in the use of alternative fuels, the CMA CGM Group has set a target to become Net Zero Carbon by 2050. \n Through the CMA CGM Foundation, the Group acts in humanitarian crises that require an emergency response by mobilizing the Group’s shipping and logistics expertise to bring humanitarian supplies around the world. \n Present in 160 countries through its network of more than 400 offices and 750 warehouses, the Group employs more than 155,000 people worldwide, including 4,000 in Marseilles where its head office is located. \n \n YOUR ROLE \n The Business Development Manager - Intermodal is accountable for the commercial development of the Deep Sea Inland Carrier Haulage Product in the UK & Ireland. \n \n WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING | KEY RESPONSIBILITIES \n\n • Proactively engage with Commercial teams + customers as agreed with ILS General Manager (ILS GM) to identify their Intermodal requirements and match with ILS UK&I Product offering through:\n, • Designing and implementing customer specific Intermodal setups;\n, • Proposing operational /commercial improvements to ILS GM;\n, • Build and effectively manage relationships with key external stakeholders, e.g. Customers, Hauliers, Depot Operators, Ports.\n, • Be a key point of contact for Senior management within UK&I, European Region and Head Office for intermodal commercial matters, as well as matters relating to reporting and KPI monitoring, including cyclical reporting activities and ad hoc requests.\n, • Ensure Inland Pricing strategy is in line with ILS and market conditions, whilst carrying out quarterly updating of Group Tariff updates in accordance with Group guidelines\n, • Provide daily Inland haulage quotes as required \n, • Champion a culture of continuous improvement by continually reviewing processes ways of working and identifying & recommending improvements to ensure best practice\n, • Promote ILS UK & Ireland products and services to internal stakeholders through regular updates as required, ensuring updated knowledge and understanding of full ILS product offering \n, • Deputise for other ILS Management team members as required\n\n WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR | KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE \n\n • Extensive experience within the transport / logistics industry \n, • Demonstrable commercial / business development experience within an intermodal / transport / logistics industry\n, • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and confidently at all levels, both internally and externally\n, • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to build rapport and effective working relationships with key stakeholders including vendors, partners, customers and Senior management across the CMA CGM group \n, • Strong personal resilience and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment\n, • Excellent analytical skills, able to work confidently with data with a high attention to detail\n, • Strong geographical knowledge of the UK, with knowledge and/or experience of transport planning (desirable)\n, • Full UK driving licence, with flexibility to travel as required\n\n \n WHAT DO WE OFFER \n Not only do we offer a competitive salary, we also offer a generous benefits package including: \n \n\n • 25 days annual leave (plus public holidays) increasing with length of service plus additional day over Christmas period and the opportunity to buy/sell annual leave\n, • Discretionary annual bonus\n, • Enhanced pension scheme up to 15% total contribution\n, • Life assurance x4\n, • Commitment to promoting awareness and understanding of Mental Health through our Mental Health and Wellbeing Charter\n, • Private healthcare (BUPA), BUPA Dental Plan + Healthcare Cash plan, including an Employee Assistance Programme\n, • Local and global development opportunities across 160 countries within the CMA CGM Group, including opportunities at our iconic Head Office tower in Marseille\n, • Hybrid Working\n, • Cycle to work scheme/ Season ticket loans\n, • Enhanced policies including Maternity & Paternity\n, • Employee recognition awards\n, • Considerable scope for personal and professional growth through the CMA CGM Academy\n\n \n CMA CGM Group is proud to define itself as a family business built on strong human values. \n\n • Excellence\n, • Exemplarity\n, • Imagination\n, • Boldness\n\n \n CMA CGM respects, supports and values diversity in all forms.
