Responsibilities:
Prepare a variety of sushi dishes, including nigiri, maki, sashimi, and specialty rolls, using fresh ingredients.
Ensure the freshness and proper storage of all seafood and ingredients.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the work area and follow all food safety guidelines.
Set up and stock the sushi bar and workstations before the shift.
Monitor inventory and assist in ordering sushi-grade fish and other necessary supplies.
Ensure all dishes are presented with excellent visual appeal and meet high taste standards.
Participate in menu development and introduce creative sushi ideas based on seasonality and trends.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or other relevant culinary role.
Understanding of Japanese cuisine, techniques for preparing sushi, and knife skills.
Ability to create visually appealing and flavorful sushi dishes.
Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
