
A casual dining waiter is responsible for ensuring guests have an enjoyable dining experience from the moment they’re seated until they leave. The atmosphere is informal but professional, often family-friendly, and service is attentive without being overly formal.
Key Responsibilities
Greet guests warmly and guide them through the menu
Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen/bar
Serve meals and drinks promptly and check in on guests during their visit
Handle special requests, dietary needs, or minor complaints politely
Clear and reset tables quickly for the next guests
Process payments and handle cash or card transactions
Maintain cleanliness and follow food safety and hygiene standards
Work closely with kitchen staff and other servers to ensure smooth service
