We are looking for a passionate and highly skilled Baker to join our growing bakery team at Boxcar Marylebone site. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional with strong viennoiserie and lamination expertise who takes pride in producing exceptional baked goods to the highest standards. Working closely with our senior bakery team, you will play a key role in the production of cakes, breads and viennoiserie, including double lamination. We are seeking someone who values craftsmanship, consistency, and quality, and who enjoys working in a focused production environment where attention to detail is celebrated. You’ll become part of a bakery with real ambition — a place where quality, creativity, and growth are at the heart of everything we do. Working closely with our Executive Chef and Head Group Baker, you’ll have the opportunity to refine your craft, contribute ideas, and grow within a supportive and driven team. This role is ideal for bakers who thrive in a calmer, more focused working environment, with the time and space to concentrate on craftsmanship and production ahead of daily service. The Role: • Strong lamination and viennoiserie skills are essential, including experience with double lamination., • Produce high-quality croissants, pain au chocolat, Danish pastries, and other laminated products., • Work across a range of bakery items including artisan breads, sourdough, cakes, cookies, and seasonal products., • Maintain exceptional standards of quality, consistency, and presentation., • Support both large-scale production and smaller, detail-focused bakes., • Contribute ideas for new products and continuous improvement., • Uphold high standards of food safety, hygiene, and organisation., • Take ownership of your section and work efficiently within a collaborative team., • Be proactive, reliable, and adaptable in a fast-paced bakery environment. What We're Looking For: • Previous experience as a professional baker is essential., • Proven expertise in lamination and viennoiserie production., • Strong knowledge of dough handling, fermentation, and baking processes., • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to product quality., • Positive attitude and ability to work well within a team., • Good level of spoken English.
