We are looking for a part time Kitchen Porter to help keep our kitchen running smoothly. You will be washing dishes, keeping the back of house clean and organised, helping with deliveries and making sure everything is ready for service. It is a hands on job and it can get busy, so we need someone reliable, quick and happy to work as part of a team. You do not need loads of experience, just a good attitude and willingness to work hard. If you take pride in doing things properly and want to be part of a friendly, fast paced kitchen, we would love to hear from you. Role Purpose: To support the team by maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organisation and food safety. The Kitchen Porter ensures the back of house runs smoothly, safely and efficiently during service. Key Responsibilities: • Wash dishes, utensils, gastronorm trays and small equipment quickly and correctly, • Operate dishwash machine safely, • Empty and clean bins, • Clean floors, walls, drains and surfaces following cleaning schedule, • Support basic food prep when required, • Assist with deliveries and storage rotation following FIFO, • Maintain grease trap checks, • Follow all health and safety and food safety procedures, • Report maintenance issues immediately, • Support the team during busy service periods Skills and Experience: • Experience in a kitchen environment, • Reliable and punctual, • Positive team attitude, • Ability to work in a fast paced environment Working Hours: • Part time If you take pride in doing things properly and want to be part of a friendly, fast paced kitchen, we would love to hear from you. The successful candidate will work with an approved training centre to deliver high-quality, compliant training that meets all Ofqual and SIA standards. Essential Trainer Criteria Operational Experience • Minimum 2 years of front-line, UK-based operational security experience within the last 5 years, • Experience must include CCTV / Public Space Surveillance or closely related security roles Sector Knowledge • Strong understanding of the SIA licensing regime, • In-depth knowledge of the LASER Level 2 Award for CCTV Operators (Public Space Surveillance) Qualifications • A recognised teaching or training qualification (e.g. PTLLS / AET or equivalent), • Relevant security qualification(s) aligned with CCTV or SIA licensing requirements Continuous Professional Development (CPD) • Evidence of at least 40 hours of CPD per year, • CPD must be relevant to security, CCTV operations, legislation, or training practice, • Trainer Competence Requirements, • Up-to-date knowledge of Ofqual and SIA standards for Public Space Surveillance, • Ability to deliver training clearly and effectively in English, • Competence in assessing learners against:, • Learning Outcomes and Assessment Criteria, • 3-credit, 2-unit LASER Level 2 CCTV qualification, • Ability to maintain accurate assessment, attendance, and quality assurance records, • Additional Information, • Trainers will deliver SIA licence-linked qualifications through approved centres, • All delivery must comply with UK legal and regulatory requirements for the private security industry, • Freelance / associate trainers are welcome (subject to centre approval)
