A waiter or waitress’s core task is to ensure that the customer has a pleasant experience at the establishment where they work. This is achieved by providing friendly, effective services in a safe, hygienic ambiance. When in between consumers, waiters and waitresses also clean and reset the tables with fresh plates and cutlery. To become a waiter or waitress, the candidate should be of the legal required age to land this job. Depending on the level of experience, about £7.5/hour to £15/hour. If the applicant in question has no experience, they can always start at an entry-level position and work their way up.
