Working alongside a professional production team, instructors will guide students through story development, interview preparation, ethical journalism practices, and on-camera reporting while supporting the production of original documentary segments. Responsibilities include: • Lead daily journalism and documentary storytelling activities., • Coach students in interviewing, research, and story development., • Support students during field interviews and on-location filming., • Provide constructive feedback on reporting and presentation skills., • Collaborate with production staff to ensure a positive and engaging learning environment., • Help supervise students throughout the program. Classroom Management • Establish and enforce classroom rules and procedures to maintain a productive learning environment. Communication and Collaboration • Communicate regularly with students, parents, and guardians regarding academic progress and behavioral issues., • Collaborate with other teachers, staff, and administration to support student success. Minimum Qualifications: • A bachelor’s degree before your first day of work with Success Academy (a background in education is not required)., • Strong communication and interpersonal skills., • Passion for learning and commitment to student development., • Ability to work in person in New York City.
