Job Title: Event Barista (MUST BE fluent in CHINESE and ENGLISH) – NRF 2026 Trade Show (client: SUNMI) Location: Javits Center, New York, NY Pay: $35/hour Dates: January 11–12, 2026 Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM We are hiring an experienced barista to support SUNMI, a global smart hardware brand, at its NRF 2026 trade show booth at the Javits Center in New York City. This is a premium, short-term event role serving coffee to retail executives, technology professionals, and media in a fast-paced, high-profile environment. Located in North Bergen, NJ 07047. We are looking for a friendly, energetic, and customer-focused Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will prepare high-quality coffee and specialty beverages, provide excellent customer service, and help maintain a clean and welcoming café environment. Key Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and take beverage or food orders. Prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, teas, smoothies, and other specialty beverages. Operate coffee machines, grinders, and other café equipment safely and correctly. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, tables, and workstation. Manage inventory, restock supplies, and ensure freshness of ingredients. Handle cash register operations, process payments, and provide accurate change. Answer customer questions and make recommendations based on preferences. Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation guidelines. Support team members and assist in general café duties as needed. Qualifications Previous barista or food service experience preferred but not required (training provided). Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask. Strong communication and customer-service skills. Basic math skills and ability to handle cash transactions. Knowledge of coffee brewing methods is a plus. Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays.

Part-time and full-time positions are available for the lead barista role located in the booming business casual area of Astoria/Long Island City. Only serious candidates with relevant lead barista experience will be considered. -5 years of experience a must -competitive pay

SUMMARY Manny Janeth Café is looking for an experienced barista to support our café through the holiday season and beyond. You’ll be part of a tight team in a café powered by Mi Casa Studios — a cultural creative agency that works with major artists and brands — but your day-to-day is about making great coffee and keeping operations smooth. If you simply want to be a strong barista, this role is perfect. If you happen to see the bigger picture and want to grow into more down the line, the opportunity is there — but no pressure.
