Job Description Commission is to be determined based on performance! ESSCO Truck & Equipment, a leading heavy equipment dealer on Staten Island, is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Parts Counter Associate to join our team. This role is responsible for assisting customers and service technicians with parts identification, ordering, and sales, while maintaining excellent customer service and efficient inventory control. Key Responsibilities * Assist customers (retail, wholesale, and internal service department) in identifying and locating required parts. * Provide accurate parts information, pricing, and availability. * Process parts orders, returns, and exchanges efficiently in person, over the phone, and via email. * Maintain proper inventory control by receiving, stocking, and organizing parts. * Create and update sales orders, invoices, and records in the company system. * Coordinate with the Service Department to ensure timely parts availability for equipment repairs. * Support promotional sales initiatives and upsell parts and accessories when applicable. * Handle vendor communication for special orders and back-ordered parts. * Maintain a clean, organized, and professional parts counter and storage area. * Provide outstanding customer service to build long-term customer relationships. Qualifications & Experience Requirements * High school diploma or equivalent required. * Previous experience in automotive, truck, or heavy equipment parts sales preferred. * Strong knowledge of parts catalog systems and inventory software (CDK or similar systems a plus). * Familiarity with heavy equipment, trucks, or construction industry parts strongly preferred. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) required. * Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. * Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. * Strong attention to detail and accuracy. * Team-oriented with a customer-first attitude. * Ability to lift heavy mechanical parts and perform light warehouse duties when needed.
