Amura is seeking a showroom manager with 1-3 years of experience selling high-end Made in Italy furniture to retail accounts, architects, interior designers, contractors and other players in the furniture industry. The candidate will work from Amura’s office and showroom in New York City and function autonomously while reporting in to Amura’s Export Manager. Amura’s global headquarter and manufacturing operations are located in Italy. The company has existing clients in major US metropolitan markets such as Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New York and San Franciso. During the onboarding period, Amura’s Export Manager will assist the candidate in developing current accounts, present quotes and offers. Duties: • Pursue sales opportunities in the United States by leveraging personal contacts and creating new leads within the furniture industry. • Send quotes using softwares like AutoCAD, Solidworks, 3DS, Sketchup, Rhino or Revit. Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop is expected. • Oversee the invitation-only showroom based in New York City, which will function as US corporate office. • Evaluate and share promotional opportunities for Amura, assit in organizing events and create brand awareness within the right channels. • Assist Amura’s Executives in developing the US business and financial strategy Background: Must have 1-3 years previous sales experience in the high-end interior design / furniture industry, with direct contacts among architects, designers and retail furniture stores. Requisites: Must be proficient with at least one of the following 3D modeling/design software programs: AutoCAD, Solidworks, 3DS, Sketchup, Rhino or Revit. Must be willing to travel extensively within the U.S. based on business needs and to Amura’s Italian headquarter for training and updating sessions. Skills: demonstrated sales performance, communication, proactivity, problem solving. Knowledge of Italian is not mandatory but will be an asset.
