Cashier and Line cooks - Birria LES Astoria - New York

BirriaLES is a Mexican cuisine and Birria is a dish from the state of Jalisco. The dish is a spicy stew, traditionally made from goat meat or mutton, but occasionally from beef or chicken. We are looking for highly motivated cashiers/host to give excellent customer service. We have two locations as of now and are looking for full-time and part time positions. Requirements but not limited to: WE ARE LOOKING FOR CASHIERS/LINE COOK/PREP ~ LINECOOK/PREP/ CASHIERS • Kitchen and grill experience in Mexican cuisine, • Minimum 2 years of host/cashier/Grill/packing experience, • Good communication skills, ability to work any day of the week and any time of the day, • Ability to take customer orders in person and by phone, organized and can pack multiple deliveries, send orders out in a fast-paced environment, • Has great phone etiquette, customer service, polite and presentable, • Committed to work, is passionate, and a great team player, • Prompt, reliable, straightforward, smart, and willing to learn, • Experienced in using POS systems, • Ability to provide an attentive and fine service in a high volume setting and effectively with a sense of urgency, • Be able to communicate gracefully and efficiently to the guests and co-workers, • Consistently maintain service standards, daily side-work and set-up, • Team player with a positive attitude If interested, please respond to this posting and we will contact you to schedule an interview. Line Cook

The Line Cook is a self-starter & team player with leadership qualities who thrives in a fast-paced, growing environment. Excellent organizational skills • Desire to learn about flavors from various ethnic cuisines, such as Asian, Latin, Hawaiian, and Italian, that inspire our contemporary dishes, • Set up stations with all necessary supplies, • Handles, stores, and rotates all products properly, • Prepare menu items in cooperation with the greater kitchen., • Flexibility to work within all stations, • Experience in fry, plancha, poke, garde manger, or expeditor, • Self-starter with the capacity to follow through on tasks, • The ability to multitask at all points during your workday, • An eagerness to grow as part of a close-knit team, • Reports all operational needs and equipment or aspects of the, • kitchen in need of repair or improvement to management, • Additional Pay is bilingual in Spanish & English!
