Job Summary The Prep Cook / Line Cook follows our recipes and prepares dishes efficiently, consistently, and to company standards. This role works closely with the kitchen team to maintain proper food handling practices, ensure food quality, and support smooth kitchen operations from prep through service. Responsibilities • Set up and maintain proper mise en place for service, • Check quality of delivered products and reject incorrect or substandard ingredients, • Prepare and portion ingredients for service according to recipes and specifications, • Cook and execute menu items consistently and efficiently during service, • Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the kitchen, • Ensure proper use, care, and maintenance of kitchen equipment and tools, • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and Department of Health (DOH) regulations, • Practice safe working habits and uphold workplace safety standards, • Check quality of prepared dishes and ensure all food meets restaurant standards, • Assist with inventory organization, storage, and receiving deliveries, • Support teammates and contribute to a positive, team-oriented kitchen environment Qualifications • Previous experience as a Prep Cook, Line Cook, or similar kitchen position, • Basic knife skills, including vegetable preparation and protein breakdown, • Proficient knowledge of DOH food handling and sanitation practices, • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, • Strong attention to detail and consistency, • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
