Host / Maître d’ – Bar Mario (Brooklyn) Bar Mario is a lively neighborhood Italian restaurant in Brooklyn known for its warm hospitality, fresh pasta, and energetic dining room. We are currently looking for a professional Host / Maître d’ to lead the front door and help guide the rhythm of service. On busy spring and summer weekends we welcome 200–350 guests, so we are looking for someone who is organized, calm under pressure, and genuinely enjoys taking care of people. The host plays a key role in the experience at Bar Mario. This position is responsible for managing reservations, guiding the flow of the dining room, and creating the first and last impression for every guest. Responsibilities Welcome guests warmly and manage the front door Manage reservations and waitlists through Resy Coordinate table flow with the service team Balance reservations with walk-in guests Communicate clearly with servers, bartenders, and kitchen Maintain an organized and professional host stand What we value Genuine hospitality Strong organization and attention to detail Calm and confident communication Ability to manage a busy dining room with professionalism Previous host experience is preferred.
