Rover - Front Desk and Canine Coach Flex Position


We're looking for an friendly, dog loving, and energetic team member who will server as a bridge between our front of house and back of house. We want individuals who enjoy interacting with clients and can manage phone calls/emails/walk in clients and be able to work with our pups in playrooms as well. Ideally, this would be a good position for dog handlers or canine coaches that have some experience monitoring dogs in the playroom, making sure that the pups are playing safely and are people persons as well!


Our Rovers at Dogtopia at responsible for the following tasks


  • Cleaning throughout the facility, especially the common areas, grooming rooms, laundry, dishes, and front office
  • Conducting Meet and Greets - speaking with clients to understand their pup and what they're looking for in our daycare, boarding or spa services. Then, evaluating the pups in open plan to ensure that they are a good fit for daycare and open play
  • Assisting in our monthly events: help set up pool days, treat days, and photo ops for our rotating monthly calendar of events. Everything from Halloween photo shoots to agility day!
  • Assist Front Desk as needed - answering phones, emails, and operating the POS system
  • Assist Canine Coaches as needed - stepping into the rooms and running the playrooms when coaches need a break or an extra room needs to be opened.
  • Spa appointments - ability to bath and dry a pup, nail trims, ear cleanings, brush outs, teeth brushing.
  • Be a team player - always have a can do attitude and willingness to help. You are our pinch hitter and can bounce around from task to task with ease!

· Ensure our furry friends are always in a safe and clean environment we take pride in working as a team to get all the nitty gritty complete


· Maintain and update cleaning schedule, along with holding themselves and team accountable to the Dogtopia’s safety and cleaning standards


· Communicate with your manager if you see any issues with pups engaging in behaviors not in accordance with Dogtopia standards and be able to pass on the Manager's decision to pet parents if necessary


· Sets the example for the team on the 3 Ss (smile, story and satisfaction) and hold accountable to internal and external customer service standards.


· Keeps the team members engaged in their duties.


· Strive for high customer review ratings!
