Harlem Horticulture is a garden design, installation, and maintenance company servicing upscale clients and residential buildings throughout Manhattan. We work 75% of the time in Manhattan and 25% of the time in the surrounding suburbs: Westchester as well as Greenwich & Stamford, CT.
We are seeking to hire someone to help assist with day-to-day operations out in the field. Someone with experience gardening is ideal but we are willing to hire someone who is interested in learning and a hard worker. This is a physical job often carrying tools and materials into and out of buildings so someone who enjoys being active is a must.
You can expect to work 40 hours a week at a variety of different gardens. There is plenty of opportunity for overtime work throughout the season. Similarly, if you ever need to take time off we are happy to accommodate your plans so long as we have reasonable notice.This job is seasonal and ends the beginning of December.
On days we are working in Manhattan, we will meet at the job site at 9:00am. On days we are working in the suburbs we will meet in Harlem and drive to the garden(s) for the day.
