Who You Are Our Line Cooks play an essential role in bringing Frø’s traditional Danish holiday offerings to life at the Union Square Holiday Market. You’ll be responsible for preparing and cooking traditional Danish foods while also supporting front-of-house service in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working as part of a team and is happy to jump between kitchen responsibilities and guest-facing service to keep things running smoothly. Roles & Responsibilities • Prepare and cook traditional Danish foods efficiently and consistently throughout service., • Maintain high standards for food quality, presentation, and consistency while keeping up with a steady flow of orders., • Support front-of-house service by greeting guests, answering questions, taking orders, and operating our POS system as needed., • Move between food preparation, cooking, and guest-facing responsibilities based on service needs., • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant workstation and service area, following all food safety and operational standards., • Monitor ingredient levels, restock supplies, and communicate preparation needs to the team., • Help with opening and closing procedures, including station setup, preparation, cleaning and organizing throughout the shift, and breaking down the space at the end of the day., • Work collaboratively with the team to keep service running smoothly during high-volume periods., • Help create a fun, festive, and memorable experience for our guests and our team. Down the Chimney is hiring for the 2026 holiday season at Bryant Park! Positions are available for both part-time and full-time work during the season, which starts on October 28, 2026 and ends on January 3, 2027.
