Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: EEG Technician, • Discipline: Allied Health Professional, • Start Date: 10/17/2025, • Duration: 52 weeks, • 39 hours per week, • Shift: 8 hours, flexible, • Employment Type: Local Contract Full-Time Permanent EEG/EMG Technician Location: Bronx, NY Pay Rate: $30–$45 per hour Job Summary: The EEG/EMG Technician will perform both electroencephalogram (EEG) and electromyography (EMG) procedures under the supervision of a neurologist or physiatrist. This hybrid role involves working in outpatient clinics, hospital settings, and remote documentation/review, ensuring high-quality diagnostic studies in compliance with AANEM and ACNS standards. Responsibilities: EEG Duties: • Prepare patients and equipment for EEG testing, • Apply electrodes using the International 10-20 system, • Monitor EEG recordings and annotate clinical events in real time, • Assist with long-term monitoring (LTM), ambulatory EEGs, and video EEGs, • Set up and calibrate EMG and nerve conduction study (NCS) equipment, • Assist physicians with EMG/NCS procedures including electrode placement, • Document waveforms, latency, and amplitude readings accurately, • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, • Educate patients about procedures and address questions, • Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean work environment, • Participate in continuing education and competency training, • Registered EEG Technologist (R. EEG T.) preferred or eligible, • CNCT or R.NCS.T. certification preferred for EMG/NCS, • 1–3 years of experience in EEG and/or EMG strongly preferred, • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, • Strong attention to detail and technical aptitude, • Comfortable working with diverse patient populationsWork Schedule:, • Hybrid position: mix of in-clinic, hospital-based, and remote documentation/review, • May include on-call hours, weekends, or evenings depending on departmental needsPhysical Requirements:, • Ability to stand for extended periods, • Manual dexterity for electrode application and equipment handling, • Weekly pay, • Medical benefits
