What You’ll Do Enthusiastically educate guests about our menu and assemble orders as requested Keep the serving line, dining room, and restrooms clean and organized Follow recipes and procedures to maintain food quality and consistency Adhere to safety and sanitation procedures Restock stations and keep them clean and organized Ensure the overall cleanliness of the restaurant Deliver a delicious, unique, and memorable experience to each of our guests Put deliveries away, plus any additional duties assigned Ability to cross train across the restaurant to ensure rapid growth May stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds Assist with any additional duties assigned Physical Requirements: Must be able to bend and reach overhead often Must possess dexterity to handle tongs, pots/pans, and other equipment Must be comfortable working in temperatures ranging from hot to cold Must be comfortable working near open flames May be required to work in tight spaces Must maintain near constant communication with multiple people Close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision is required Must be able to sit, squat and kneel occasionally Must be able to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner May be required to occasionally work in outdoor weather conditions Benefits at CAVA? What You’ll Do: • Responsible for maintaining daily food service in a corporate office setting, including stocking pantries, plating foods, and replenishing chafer and serving dishes., • Responsible for maintaining a food-safe and sanitary environment for service that meets safe food handling guidelines., • Greet, assist, and communicate with guests, ensuring a welcoming environment., • Have a great understanding of each menu, and provide suggestions and alternatives to guests with dietary restrictions., • Having basic level knife handling to perform basic food preparation tasks, which include washing, peeling, and cutting fruit and vegetables, seasoning and slicing meats, and preparing sauces and salads., • Ability to read and prepare simple recipes such as waffle or pancake mixes, omelets, oatmeal etc., • Setting up and breaking down dining and buffet areas as per the Enterprise Dining Lead’s instructions. Ensuring all tableware and chafing dishes are properly cleaned and sanitized before each service/catering event., • Providing support when loading and unloading food, tableware, and catering supplies onto and off catering vehicles., • Appropriately storing clean chafing dishes, tableware, platters, and equipment after each service/catering attendant as well as dishwashing., • Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Proof of vaccination will be required, • A New York City Food Handler's certificate/card holder (Preferred), • Ability to carry over 50 pounds and remain standing for long periods, • Outgoing and considerate personality with front and back of house experience in an corporate office catering, banquet, or commissary setting, • Exemplary communication skills., • Inherent problem solver that’s organized, punctual, and tech-savvy.
