Are you a highly reliable and customer-focused individual looking for a part-time opportunity? We are seeking a Laundry Assistant to immediately join our team on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.

This role offers flexible part-time hours, including some weekday afternoons (3:00 PM - 7:00 PM) and Saturdays (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM), with a pay rate of $20 per hour. Please note, this is not a full-time position.

Key Responsibilities:
Assisting customers with the proper use of washers and dryers.
Ensuring washers and dryers are clean and well-maintained.
Operating the cash register and credit card machine for customer payments.
Texting customers when their laundry is ready for pickup.
Creating tickets for customer laundry bags.
Transporting laundry bags to the basement for the morning wash and fold team.
Performing closing duties, including bringing in outdoor furniture, taking out trash, turning off computer and lights, and preparing the store for the next morning.

What We're Looking For:
Exceptional Customer Relations: You should be a people person who genuinely enjoys interacting with customers, making them feel welcome, and assisting them with their needs. Empathy and understanding are key.
Punctuality and Reliability: Being on time is crucial. We expect you to be ready to start work no later than 2:45 PM for a 3:00 PM shift. If you have a habit of unreliability or last-minute cancellations, this position is not suitable for you. Consistent attendance and commitment are essential.
A history of stable employment is a strong indicator of whether you are a good fit for this role.
