Our multidisciplinary psychology and psychiatry group practice in Midtown Manhattan is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to join our administrative team. This role is central to the patient experience and supports both clinical care and practice operations. We are looking for a detail-oriented, organized, and compassionate professional who can manage multiple responsibilities while upholding high standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and patient service. What You’ll Do • Schedule and coordinate patient appointments across multiple providers., • Conduct patient intake and screening calls with clarity and empathy., • Collect copays and patient balances in accordance with practice policies., • Verify insurance benefits and eligibility, including Medicare plans., • Maintain accurate, HIPAA-compliant patient records., • Coordinate closely with our billing team regarding coverage, authorizations, and follow-ups., • Communicate effectively with clinicians and administrative staff to support continuity of care., • Manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment. What We’re Looking For • Experience in a medical or behavioral health office (preferred)., • Knowledge of insurance verification and Medicare rules., • Strong understanding of HIPAA and patient confidentiality., • Proficiency with Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets)., • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills., • Strong written and verbal communication skills., • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
