Responsibilities • Teach group classes in NYC public schools of 18 - 25 students (30-45 minutes in length), • Develop and teach 12-24 weeks of culturally responsive and inclusive curriculum, • Develop students’ ability to match pitch, play percussion instruments, enhance music vocabulary, and promote spatial awareness, • Foster a love of music through the development of artistic expression, song, dance, and instrumental exploration, • Collaborate on curriculum and scheduling with the assigned site contact person and classroom teachers, • Prepare students for informal or formal performances, depending on school needs, • 2+ years’ experience teaching in large group settings, public schools, or community music schools, • Attention to punctuality, attendance records, and reports, • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with students and classroom teachers, • Record of ongoing professional development and activity in professional organizations Powered by JazzHR n1VlnH0Pji
