Job description:
The Supervising Prevention Consultant is responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing prevention programs in schools and communities. Supervises a team of Prevention Consultants and collaborates with school districts, community partners, and service providers to deliver trainings, workshops, webinars, and assemblies that engage youth and families.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement evidence-based prevention programs for schools and communities.
  • Supervise, train, and evaluate Prevention Consultants.
  • Facilitate trainings, workshops, webinars, and assemblies for youth and families.
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with schools, law enforcement, healthcare providers, and other community organizations.
  • Support programmatic data collection, reporting, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Serve as a role model and ensure positive interactions with program participants.
  • Schedule and assist collaborators on best practices in prevention science.
  • Attend community events and meetings as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in a related field (e.g., Counseling, Social Work, Public Administration).
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a social service environment implementing evidence-based practices, including at least three (3) years in a supervisory role.
  • Experience in community organizing, partnership development, and project management.
  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and networking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse populations.
  • Strong organizational skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid NJ driver’s license, safe driving record, and reliable vehicle.
  • Must pass NJ Child Abuse Record Information (CARI) screening and a fingerprint-based background check.

Position Overview: The Licensed Clinician will provide clinical services to youth and families both in-person and through telehealth. The clinician may also provide training and supervision to other clinicians who do not possess independent licensure. Key Responsibilities: Provide clinical services to students and families both in-person and via telehealth. Screen, assess, and provide brief interventions to youth and families; stabilize students until long-term resources are identified. Facilitate treatment referrals and connect students/families to appropriate community supports. Collaborate with school personnel and community partners to provide comprehensive services. Provide school consultation services to staff and families as needed. Maintain accurate and timely clinical records and documentation. Attend regular clinical supervision meetings and professional development training. Provide training and supervision to other clinicians without independent licensure. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards of practice and maintain confidentiality of all student and family information. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Licensed as one of the following: Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC). Preference for professionals with relevant independent licensure. Experience completing assessments and providing brief individualized clinical interventions to youth and families is required. Previous training in Motivational Interviewing is preferred; those not trained must complete training within 60 days of hire or assignment to the Hub. Valid New Jersey driver’s license, safe driving record, and vehicle availability. Must pass NJ Child Abuse Record Information (CARI) screening and a fingerprint-based background check. Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population. Strong interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to maintain accurate and timely clinical records and documentation. Ability to provide training and supervision to other clinicians who do not possess independent licensure. Ability to work a combination of before, during, and after-school hours. Job Type: Part-time Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year Work Location: In person
