Job DescriptionJob Title: Electrical Foreman Job Description The Electrical Foreman oversees and performs commercial electrical installations in office buildings, with a strong focus on conduit work, lighting, panel wiring, and troubleshooting systems ranging from 120 to 480 volts. This role combines hands-on electrical work with leadership in the field to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with blueprints and codes. Responsibilities • Install, wire, and terminate lighting systems, panels, boxes, outlets, and related electrical components in commercial office buildings., • Run and bend conduit of various sizes, including precise conduit bending to support clean and code-compliant installations., • Read and interpret electrical blueprints to plan layout, routing, and installation of conduit, wiring, and equipment., • Troubleshoot electrical systems and components to identify issues and perform effective repairs or adjustments., • Ensure all installations involving 120–480 volt systems follow safety standards, codes, and project specifications., • Coordinate and sequence work to meet project schedules while maintaining high-quality workmanship., • Use appropriate hand tools, cordless drills, and other equipment to complete daily tasks efficiently and safely., • Collaborate with other electricians and mechanics on site to ensure smooth workflow and clear communication., • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all OSHA and site safety requirements., • Document work performed as needed and communicate progress or issues to site leadership.Essential Skills, • 3–10 years of electrical experience in commercial or similar environments., • Proficiency in bending conduit and running conduit for various applications., • Strong experience with wiring and installing boxes, outlets, lighting, and panels., • Ability to work with electrical systems ranging from 120 to 480 volts., • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and electrical drawings., • Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems and resolve issues efficiently., • OSHA 30 certification., • Ownership of personal hand tools and a cordless drill suitable for daily electrical work.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience working on office building projects, particularly in Long Island locations., • Ability to work independently and as part of a field team, providing guidance where needed., • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices., • Reliable transportation to reach various job sites as required.Why Work Here? Work Environment Work takes place primarily in Long Island office buildings across multiple locations, including areas such as Hicksville, Hauppauge, Central Islip, Long Beach, and Quogue. Roles include both mechanic and junior mechanic level work on active job sites. Start times typically begin at either 6:00 a.m. or 7:00 a.m., so flexibility with early morning shifts is important. The environment is hands-on and field-based, involving regular use of electrical tools, conduit bending equipment, and standard construction-site safety gear. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hicksville, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $33.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
