Job Description The Customer Service Representative (CSR) will act as the liaison between customers, and internal operations (sales, logistics, procurement). The CSR ensures orders are processed accurately, issues are resolved, and customers receive timely communication on deliveries, product status, pricing, and quality. You will support the broker/distributor’s mission to deliver ingredients reliably and maintain strong relationships. Key Responsibilities • Receive and process customer orders, • Confirm order details, check product availability, lead times, and pricing, • Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, and logistics to fulfill orders, • Track shipments, provide order status updates, • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and requests, • Assist sales team with quotes, promotions, discount approvals, and contracts, • Maintain customer records in ERP, • Liaise with suppliers and procurement for order changes and status updates, • Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards (e.g. labeling, allergens), • Liaise with accounting for invoicing, logistics for shipping, • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree or higher preferred, • 1–3 years (or more) in customer service, preferably in food, ingredient, or distribution industries, • Experience with order management system, SAGE a plus, • Strong verbal and written communication skills, • Problem solving, attention to detail, multitasking skills, • Basic understanding of food ingredients, food safety, allergens is a plus, • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)Company DescriptionThe company is in the food ingredient industry offering comprehensive solution for food manufacturers seeking quality ingredients, regulatory compliance, and responsive customer service.The company is in the food ingredient industry offering comprehensive solution for food manufacturers seeking quality ingredients, regulatory compliance, and responsive customer service.
