Job Title: Direct Support Professional Company: Braverhood Job Summary: Braverhood is seeking a dedicated and reliable Direct Support Professional with experience or a strong interest in working with neurodivergent individuals, particularly those with ADHD and Autism. This role focuses on providing one-on-one support to a neurodivergent young adult enrolled in college. Your mission is to enhance the individual’s executive functioning, social skills, and independence, ensuring they thrive both academically and personally. Key Responsibilities: • Plan and create opportunities focused on executive functioning, social skills, and independent living skills., • Provide direct one-on-one support with schoolwork and training., • Collaborate with team members to maintain a safe, supportive, and orderly environment., • Accompany and support members during transportation, lunch, and break times to school, home, appointments, activities in the city, and the gym., • Complete required monthly progress reports on the member’s development., • Advocate for the member and assist in communication with various parties involved in their services., • Communicate effectively with family members, educators, and other stakeholders., • Frequent sitting, standing, bending, walking, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
