American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in San Bernadino, California. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Labor and Delivery, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: ASAP, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 36 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, nights, • Position is in an acute hospital Labor & Delivery unit, • Unit consists of 14 L&D beds, 2 OR suites, and performs triage in L&D, • Patient population includes laboring, induction, cesarean, antepartum with complications, fetal demises, and triage patients 20 weeks gestation or greater, • Average of 3-4 births per day, • RN ratios adhere to AWHONN guidelines, • RNs are required to titrate drips such as Pitocin, insulin, and magnesium, • Electronic charting is done using Cerner with Fetal Link, • 12-hour night shifts, three shifts per week, every other weekend required, • One on-call shift required every two weeks, • No floating required, • Scrubs are light blue and provided for each shift, • One-day unit-specific orientation provided, • Work with a team that includes an OB tech and 24/7 in-house OB and Neonatologist coverage, • Pulse oximetry used routinely; telemetry monitoring is provided for magnesium patients, • Required to pass unit-specific testing on dysrhythmia and sterile technique as part of orientation, • Holiday coverage includes one major and two minor holidays, • First to float if unit-based floating becomes necessary, • Orientation includes 12 hours on the unit\n \n Requirements\n, • Active CA RN license is required for consideration, • Minimum of 2 years of current Labor & Delivery RN experience required, • Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, Advanced Fetal Monitoring, and NIHSS, • Experience with electronic charting using Cerner preferred, • Ability to titrate obstetric drips required, • Two professional references required: one supervisor from the past 12 months and one peer or supervisor from the past 3 years, • Copy of driver's license must be provided, • Must not have been employed by any facility associated with CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity within the past year\n Benefits\n, • High Pay and Bonuses, • Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options, • 401(k) Plan, • Weekly Payroll Deposit, • Free Online CEUs, • Generous Housing Allowance, • Travel and Licensure Reimbursements, • Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
