Job DescriptionDescription: We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The CMA is responsible for providing high-quality, direct patient care and supporting healthcare providers through a combination of clinical and administrative responsibilities. This role requires proficiency in routine clinical procedures, strong communication skills, and a compassionate, patient-centered approach for individuals. Advocare, LLC is a physician-owned partnership of leading pediatricians, family practitioners, and specialists in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. As a Certified Medical Assistant, you’ll be an integral member of a forward-thinking clinical team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and service in a dynamic healthcare environment. Certified Medical Assistant Essential Responsibilities: • Obtain and record patient medical histories and vital signs, • Prepare patients for examination and assist during exams and procedures, • Perform point-of-care testing, specimen collection, and lab preparation, • Maintain accurate electronic health records and complete documentation, • Handle administrative duties such as answering phones, verifying insurance, scheduling, and processing referrals, • Maintain medical supply inventory and perform equipment upkeep, • Prepare and disinfect examination and treatment rooms, • Provide patient education and transmit physician instructions, • Support compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and all healthcare regulations, • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient care, • Strong understanding of medical procedures, terminology, and administrative functions, • Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems, • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, • High attention to detail and organizational ability, • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism, • Demonstrated commitment to confidentiality, integrity, and patient service, • Multiple medical and prescription coverage options, • Dental and vision care plans, • Health Savings Accounts (HSAs), where applicable, • Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs), • Voluntary critical illness, cancer, and accident insurance, • Voluntary hospital indemnity coverage, • Voluntary short-term and long-term disability insurance, • Voluntary term life insurance and AD&D (Accidental Death & Dismemberment), • 401(k) retirement savings plan, • Paid time off (PTO), • Vision, • Flexible Spending Accounts, • High school diploma or equivalent, • Certification or Registration as a Medical Assistant, • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical or medical office setting
