Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Location: Brooklyn, NY 11212 Shifts Available: • Night Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Every other weekend), • Evening Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM (Mon–Fri, every other weekend) Pay Rate: $25.00/hour Contract Duration: 13+ weeks (extendable) Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide compassionate and comprehensive care to residents in a long-term care facility located in Brooklyn, NY. The CNA will assist residents with daily living activities, ensure comfort and safety, and support nursing staff with medical and non-medical tasks. Key Responsibilities: Personal Care: • Provide baths (partial or complete), minimum two showers weekly, • Shampoo, comb, and maintain resident hair daily, • Shave residents and perform nail and oral hygiene care regularly, • Assist with dressing, toileting, and incontinence care, • Perform range-of-motion exercises and turn/position residents every 2-3 hours, • Monitor and assist residents with bowel and bladder programs Clinical Support: • Take and record vitals (T, P, R, BP), weight, intake/output, • Assist with dressing changes and monitoring of drainage systems, • Apply support stockings and splints as directed, • Use mechanical lift and buddy system for safe resident transfers, • Observe and report any behavioral or physical condition changes Resident Engagement & Mobility: • Encourage participation in daily activities and ambulation programs, • Assist with walking using mobility aids (cane, walker), • Escort residents to appointments, therapy, and activities Meals & Hydration: • Prepare residents for meals, assist with feeding, and document consumption, • Provide water and snacks as ordered, • Monitor fluid intake and output; report concerns to nursing staff Environment & Documentation: • Maintain cleanliness in resident rooms and service areas, • Make beds and assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges, • Document care provided per shift in EMR and accountability records, • Report to and receive handoff from nurse-in-charge at shift change, • Observe equipment for damage or repair needs Safety & Emergency Duties: • Answer call bells and alarms promptly, • Ensure use of side rails per protocol (restraint-free policy), • Monitor residents as assigned (Q15 or Q30 mins), • Support residents with cognitive impairment or terminal conditions, • Perform duties during emergencies as needed Required Skills & Experience: • Knowledge of skin breakdown prevention and basic patient care, • Ability to communicate compassionately with residents, • Strong understanding of written and verbal instructions Preferred: • Experience in long-term care or similar healthcare settings Education Requirements: • High School diploma or GED, • Active New York Nurse Aide Certification, • Listed in New York State RHCF Nurse Aide Registry Pride Health offers eligible employee’s comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision plans), supplemental coverage (accident insurance, critical illness insurance and hospital indemnity), 401(k)-retirement savings, life & disability insurance, an employee assistance program, legal support, auto, home insurance, pet insurance, and employee discounts with preferred vendors
