Richmond is a top destination for Virginia healthcare professionals, known for its vibrant arts, culinary scene, and historic riverfront.\n \n\nICU Nursing Job Details\n\n • Location: Richmond, VA 23219 (Virginia nursing jobs)\n, • Assignment Length: 13 weeks\n, • Start Date: January 19, 2026\n, • End Date: April 20, 2026\n, • Setting: Medical Respiratory ICU (28 private patient rooms, daily census ~26)\n, • Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00 – 07:00), 3 shifts per week\n, • Hours per Week: 36\n, • Weekend Coverage: Required (minimum 6 weekend shifts per contract)\n, • Orientation: 40 hours (includes modules and on-unit training)\n\n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n\n, • Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience (Level 1 Trauma Center experience required)\n, • Active RN license in Virginia or compact state (must be in hand at time of submission)\n, • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, CCRN\n, • Travel nurse experience required\n, • EPIC charting experience required\n, • BSN preferred\n, • Ability to float within competency as needed\n, • 2 professional references required\n\n\nICU Nurse Responsibilities\n\n, • Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill adult and geriatric patients (sepsis, DKA, respiratory distress, post-codes, BMT/Oncology)\n, • Monitor and manage patients requiring continuous IV sedation, dysrhythmia interpretation, IV and arterial line placement\n, • Care for patients with NxStage CRRT, tracheostomies, and advanced respiratory needs\n, • Assist with bedside procedures: bronchoscopy, percutaneous tracheostomy, endoscopy, central and arterial line placements, lumbar punctures\n, • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams: Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy\n, • Utilize advanced medical equipment: Philips bedside monitors, Alaris infusion pumps, CADD controlled substance pumps\n, • Document all care and interventions accurately in EPIC\n GHR Healthcare Job ID #444596.
