No, 2 years, • Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes, • Patient Types:, • Staff work elective surgeries from 5am-5pm. Evenings, weekends, and holidays are for emergent cases, • Outpatient, • Ophthalmology - cataracts, retinas, • Ortho - minor ortho cases such as carpal tunnel release, trigger finger release, cyst removals, occasional I&D, ORIF (wrists mostly), • Breasts/plastics - breast reductions, implants, cancer cases (anything from biopsies to mastectomies), eye lifts, panniculectomies, • Patient Ratios:, • Pre/post: 1:3, • OR: 1:1, • Required Certifications:, • BLS, WI license, • Skills required, • OR experience, • Experience with above cases, • Recent Ophthalmology experience is a must, • Support on the Unit:, • Receptionist/HUC: from 7a-5p, • Charge nurse: Will take patients as needed, • RT: 24/7, • Hospitalist: 24/7, • On call physician 24/7, • Telemetry monitoring: Bedside, no tele tech, • Phlebotomy can assist with peripheral lab draws if needed, • Technology/Equipment:, • EMR: EPIC, • IV pumps: Alaris, • Medication dispensing: Pyxis, • Monitors: GE monitors, • Floating: If yes, where?, • None, • Orientation: (facility and unit), • At least one shift to learn the flow, • Scheduling:, • Weekend rotation: Call only, see below, • On call? Yes, • During the week, call cases are usually added to the end of the day around 5-6pm; can happen often. If cases run late, call team will take over and stay late. Very rarely is the team here after 8pm. Call back is usually for emergent retina cases. Travelers will begin taking call within a couple of weeks of starting., • Weekday (Mon-Fri) is 3pm-midnight. Usually, will do one week of call every 5 weeks (depending on staffing, subject to change), • Weekend (Sat/Sun) is 6am-midnight. Usually, will do one weekend of call every 5th weekend (depending on staffing, subject to change), • Response time is 30 minutes, • No sleep room available, • Holiday Expectations: Call, • Approval of time off? To go through manager, • Other notes?, • Scrub Color: Provided, • Travelers will need to bring shoes for the OR that have never been outside the hospital, • Free Parking?
