Under the direction of the Regional Deputy Director, the Program Director - Children’s Crisis Residences is responsible for establishing and overseeing operations of YAI’s Children’s Crisis Residences, under the auspices of NYS Office of Mental Health (OMH), which will provide 24/7 person-centered, trauma-informed residential services for children with behavioral health challenges, who are in crisis. Determines and coordinates program needs, identifying and directing the design and implementation of services, policies and procedures and required staffing and resources, with an emphasis on team management, development and establishment of standards of performance and measures of program success. and crisis intervention supports, therapies and services to maintain compliance and to expand and enhance knowledge and skills., • Collaborates with Marketing and Communications team to establish and inform marketing and publicity strategies that promote awareness of and engagement with the Children’s Crisis Residences and YAI as a whole, including outreach presentations, media interviews and tours., • Designs and maintains systems that support timely, accurate and complete documentation of all paperwork and written records related to individual treatment, billing and compliance with all relevant laws, rules and/or regulations including, but not limited to medical and medication management records and auditing, treatment records, progress, behavior and incident reports, data collection, billing records, charting and daily notes., • Actively participates in YAI program, regional, leadership, agency committee and/or other meetings to develop relationships and awareness of WSFSSH develops and manages housing and provides social services for low‐income older persons, many of whom live with mental illness and/or have experienced homelessness. About WSFSSH’s Wellness Initiative WSFSSH’s Wellness Initiative seeks to create a culture of wellness within our residential developments for older adults to facilitate the adoption of healthy habits that will improve their overall physical, emotional, and mental well-being. Job Description Responsibilities: • Performing a variety of light construction duties such as drywall installation and patching, painting, light bulb and fixture installation, drain and sewer line stoppages, cabinet installation and repair, vinyl and ceramic tile installation and repair and window air conditioner installation and maintenance. Actions will include the use of power tools (hand drills, saws, etc.) and repetitive motions of drilling, sawing, screwing, ratcheting, etc., • Operating basic building systems including boilers and heating systems, fire prevention and alarm systems, etc., • Cleaning all elements of the facility including floors, walls, kitchens, bathroom, common areas, etc. Handling garbage collection and removal. Thoroughly cleaning residential units and all associated elements such as stoves, refrigerators, painting, plastering, etc. in order to prepare them for incoming clients., • Performing a variety of general maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs,, • With prior notice, the Maintenance Worker will be assigned to work temporarily at other Safe Horizon locations within the 5 boroughs to provide site coverage., • Learn and integrate a trauma-informed, client-centered approach, using an anti-oppressive lens, into your work with clients., • Cleaning all elements of the facility including floors, walls, kitchens, bathroom, common areas, etc. Handling garbage collection and removal. Job Description Position Summary • Mop and sweep facility floors, clean glass doors and windows, • Mop floors, clean toilets, clean mirrors and sinks in restrooms, and ensure supplies are stocked, • Buff, strip and wax floors using a buffer machine, • Change light bulbs as needed using a ladder, • Cutting locks, • Ensure all storage units are locked and secure, • Clean and wipe all storage unit doors and walls, • Paint restrooms and bollards as needed, • Assist with incidental repairs, • Change filters for HVAC system, • Ensure facility grounds and yard are free of debris and remove weeds applying weed killer, • Perform snow removal using a shovel and calcium chloride, • Ensure roof drains are free of debris, • Check for leaks by examining ceiling tiles and floors, • Maintain logs of maintenance performed such as painting, • Ensure adequate maintenance supplies are in stock at all times, • Ensure customers do not leave items behind and perform garbage removal, • Report facility maintenance issues and repair needs to management, • Perform other duties as assigned The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
