Job DescriptionDescription: GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Human Resources Recruiter (“HRR”) will manage a full cycle recruitment function from preparing job descriptions, to identifying potential hires, to interviews and background checks and evaluating candidates; to developing relationships with hiring managers, to onboarding. The key goal is effectively finding qualified candidates that fit our culture and make us a better organization. Requirements: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF JOB: • Develop recruiting plans, using traditional sourcing strategies and new, creative recruiting ideas., • Network through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups, social media, local city services, etc. to improve our applicant database., • Design and update Job Descriptions (JD’s) for all positions., • Facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants by working and collaborating with hiring managers to understand skills and competencies required and to determine the best possible JD and how best to explain our expectations for the position., • Post JD’s internally (when applicable), on the company website, intranet, Paylocity Dashboard and with outside recruiting/staffing agencies, local vendors (i.e. schools, colleges, chamber of commerce) and participate in Job Fairs (virtual, special events.), • Screen incoming resumes and applications., • Conduct interviews (phone, video calls or in-person)., • Maintain accurate records of applicant tracking; post all applicant information to Affirmative Action Program and Bureau of Labor Statistics in an efficient and timely manner., • Coordinate background checks with third-party vendor and employee eligibility verifications., • Work with supervisor to establish job grades and salary ranges for each position., • Coordinate with hiring managers for interviews, ensuring any others involved are considered in the process., • Develop a pool of qualified candidates for all positions, especially those known for high turnover; provide shortlists of qualified candidates to hiring managers,, • Craft recruiting emails to attract candidates., • Prepare Offer Letters, Candidate emails and follow-up with onboarding., • Pre-screen applicants for hiring managers to evaluate and ensure they meet the position requirements (call references, assign testing (when applicable), run background checks and/or credit checks, source potential candidates from various online channels (i.e., social media)., • Back-up other HR functions as needed., • Handle all administrative duties and recordkeeping, ensuring compliance., • Demonstrate an exceptionally high level of respect for all confidential information and do not disclose this information without prior approval from your immediate supervisor., • Termination service letters., • Proven work experience as an HR Recruiter or similar role. Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems and resume databases a plus., • Must be proficient with 10-key (by touch); alpha/numeric data entry; spreadsheets, word processing, basic typing and possess excellent PC skills., • Knowledge of Fair Labor Standard Act for position classifications and EEO-1 reporting., • Knowledge of employment law; including state and federal regulations. Interviewing skills; ability to coach hiring managers of do’s and don’ts of interview and the selection process., • COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Solid verbal and written communication skills. Communicate effectively with managers and applicants to establish a rapport, develop a relationship, and source new candidate leads. Must be able to “sell” our company and its benefits to potential candidates. Must be comfortable meeting with and speaking with new people often., • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Exceptional mathematical and calculation skills; ability to calculate figures and amounts such as regular wages, overtime, commissions, bonuses, garnishments, benefit calculations based on salary (LTD, Life & AD&D insurance)., • SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Under general supervision where standard practice enables the employee to proceed alone on routine work, referring any questionable issues to direct supervisor., • PLANNING: Considerable responsibility with regard to general assignments in planning time, method, manner and/or sequence of performance of own work; Must possess excellent organizational skills and attention to detail., • MENTAL DEMAND: Very close mental demand; Must be able to work effectively while multi-tasking in a high-volume environment, with ever-changing priorities and highly confidential information. Possess the ability to prioritize interviews and manager needs for position placement., • PUBLIC CONTACT: Regular contact with applicants involves furnishing and obtaining information; knowing what to say and when to say it is extremely important when conducting interviews and obtaining background employment information for potential hires; failure to exercise proper judgment may result in monetary losses to company., • EMPLOYEE CONTACT: Regular contact with co-workers and managers within the bank, which will require coordination of efforts generally in the normal course of performing duties; requires tact in presenting candidates and qualifications and making sound, solid recommendations. While performing the essential functions of this job, this position is regularly required to sit or stand, talk or hear; frequently required to reach with hands and arms and occasionally stand, walk, climb or balance; may occasionally lift, move, push or pull up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. This is an indoor position and the noise level in the work area is usually moderate. Some travel required (meeting with managers, attending job fairs, meeting with city services or college visits, etc.); may take place on weekends or outside of regular business hours. REQUIRED EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE: HR certifications (minimum PHR or SHRM-CP preferred) and a minimum of 3 or more years’ experience in recruiting functions. Bachelor’s degree preferred; experience with HRIS recruiting platforms; solid working knowledge of different employment classifications; or equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience. REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: This position reports directly to the Vice President, Human Resources. The VP, Human Resources reports directly to the Executive Vice President of Operations, who reports directly to the President/CEO of American National Bank & Trust.
