    compensation: compensation based on experience employment type: part-time schedule can be flexible for high school/college students Our busy West New York practice seeks an energetic, responsible, polite, and willing individual to be cross-trained to answer phones, triage patients, enter data in our computer software, learn to use ophthalmology equipment, and scribe. Must speak English; bilingual Spanish is a plus. Our ideal candidate is an innovative and motivated individual who enjoys a fast-paced work environment. Responsibilities: Comply with all legal and ethical requirements for medical documentation. Collect, organize, and catalog data for physician quality reporting systems and other quality initiatives to increase patient compliance and improve outcomes. Document medical visits and procedures as they are being performed by the physician accurately and thoroughly. Prepare exam rooms and assist during physician exams. Perform clerical tasks as needed by the physician, including faxing, phone calls,& referrals. Perform insurance eligibility and make patient appointments. Skills/Specialties Include: Electronic Medical Records (EMR), Medical Terminology, Strong written and verbal communication. Experience or willingness to learn HVF, Lensometry, Tonometry, Visual Fields, Slit Lamp Microscopy, and basic patient workups. Requirements: Must know how to type and use a computer. Must be flexible with hours. Experience as an Ophthalmic Technician/or scribe is a plus. We offer to train, but you have to be willing to learn. English speaking is a must, and Spanish is a plus.

    Full job description Overview Call Center & Front Desk Representative – Boutique Ophthalmology Practice Be the first impression of excellence in eye care We are a high-end, patient-centered ophthalmology and refractive surgery practice seeking an experienced Call Center Representative to join our team. This is a critical front-line role. You will be the first point of contact for patients and responsible for managing their journey from initial inquiry through consultation and surgery. This position requires exceptional organization, strong communication skills, and meticulous scheduling accuracy in a fast-paced medical environment. This is not an entry-level role. Prior medical scheduling and insurance experience are required.
