May utilize charge personnel in clinical areas as is deemed necessary. Responsibilities Assessment • Assesses staffing needs according to scheduled cases and patient needs and appropriate staff and skill mix., • Continuously assesses progression of the daily schedule and adjusts staffing assignments as needed to provide optimum patient care and productivity., • Assists Administrator in assessing in-service / educational needs of staff and makes recommendations., • Assesses equipment and supply needs based on scheduled cases. Implementation • Makes staffing assignments according to planned needs and available staff. Coordinates schedule and demonstrates flexibility when schedule or staffing availability changes. Arranges for provision of breaks and lunch for staff., • Assists Administrator in development and documentation of in-service/educational offerings for staff and physicians. Conducts regular education offering during monthly staff meeting., • Provides for needed equipment and supplies according to planned needs., • Assists Administrator in employee performance evaluations., • Monitors quality of patient care in units. You’ll become familiar with the surgical procedures and techniques of the Surgeons that you work with and will “gown and glove” them like a pro and assist with surgical procedures when needed. OUR EXPECTATIONS OF YOU • Daily: set up and prepares the autoclaves for use, ensuring that the core sterilizer and tabletop units are functioning properly and achieving proper run specifications, • Inspect O.R. suite daily to ensure that it meets ASC standards for cleanliness, • Initial morning scrub shall be for 3 to 5 minutes; routine scrub is required between cases, • Gowning and gloving shall be in accordance with acceptable sterile technique, • Set up phaco and retina equipment and instruments while patient is being positioned and prepped, • Maintains the instrument table, mayo stands, and instruments in proper order and condition during the case, • Assist with stocking of supplies, cleaning of equipment, and room “turn over” in a timely fashion and notify appropriate parties of anything that needs to be addressed, • Check IOL with Circulating Registered Nurse for proper style, model, and power, • Assist the Circulating R.N. in “closing” the O.R. THE OPPORTUNITY AT HAND We’re looking for enthusiastic and detail-oriented people to join our team as Accounts Receivable Representatives. Our Accounts Receivable Representatives are responsible for accurately and efficiently following up on billed claims to insurance. As an Accounts Receivable Representative, you will use your strong communication and problem-solving skills to manage patient accounts and ensure timely billing and collections. Your attention to detail will be crucial in maintaining accurate records of patient billing and collections. You will collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient and effective billing and collections processes, as well as, adhere to all relevant regulations and policies related to patient billing and collections. Additionally, your experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and knowledge of relevant regulations and insurance policies will be beneficial in this role. OUR EXPECTATIONS OF YOU • Review and manage patient accounts to ensure timely billing and collections, • Partner with insurance companies to resolve any billing/insurance related issues or concerns, • Maintain accurate documentation of collections efforts, • Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient and effective billing and collections processes, • Adhere to all relevant regulations and policies related to patient billing, insurance and collections WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED • You are an independent and critical thinker, • You have strong problem-solving skills and are extremely detail oriented, • You have strong communication skills – both verbal and written, • You work well independently and as part of a team, • You have a positive, can-do attitude and work well in collaborative environments, • You’re flexible – you roll with the punches and easily accept change, • You have 1-3 years of experience working in an Accounts Receivable position within a healthcare environment, • You possess a strong understanding of insurance reimbursement and what it takes to follow up on a claim, • You have experience with and are comfortable using Microsoft Excel and Word, • EMR Experience required, NextGen experience preferred WHO WE ARE Our globally recognized healthcare team is comprised of some of the top minds in ocular medicine.
