Fuel your career with GEODIS and discover endless growth opportunities. \n Your role on the team: \n\n • Serves as the customer service liaison between the Company and the customer \n, • Processes Custom and OGA (other government agency) entries for clearance of goods into the United States\n, • Opens files, enters notes, information and document requests in Cargowise and/or AS400 system \n, • Classifies invoice based on HTS (Harmonized Tariff Schedule) \n, • Sends information/document requests to company's employees, suppliers, service providers and/or U.S. Government agencies as needed\n, • Communicates with specified offices, departments, and teams on all issues affecting customs brokerage \n, • Files document requests, correspondence and documents in a file folder identified by the applicable shipping/reference number \n, • Ensures compliance with regard to U.S. Government regulatory agencies such as FDA, EPA, FCC, Fish & Wildlife, etc. \n, • Coordinates shipping details with U.S. Forwarders, Steamship Lines, Airlines, Agents, etc. \n, • Convert and verify shipment weight, volume and foreign currency \n, • Maintain communication with customers, carriers and vendors \n, • Coordinate pick-ups and invoice files \n, • Assist customers with questions, complaints, requests, tracking and tracing \n, • Handles accounting processes accurately and in a timely manner\n, • Coordination of shipments from airline, ocean piers and CFS (container freight station) to customer/consignee destination\n, • Review documentation or issue documents to meet government regulations and carrier regulations\n, • Must have knowledge of buying/selling rates to ensure profitability \n, • Minimum 3 years experience in customs brokerage or an equivalent combination of both education and experience. \n, • Knowledge of U.S. Government Agency requirements \n, • Knowledge of U.S. Customs and OGA clearance of freight \n, • PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Work, Access and Excel\n, • Excellent written and oral communication skills that demonstrate a proven ability to develop relationships with a range of internal and external customers \n, • Excellent planning and organizational skills \n, • Ability to read and interpret documents \n, • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence \n, • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form \n, • Ability to multitask \n, • Access wages early with the Rain financial wellness app\n, • Free telemedical access to doctors and therapists through First Stop Health is available on the first day of employment\n, • Health, dental, and vision insurance after 30 days of employment\n, • 401k match\n, • Paid maternity and parental leave\n, • Access to career development, employee resource groups, and mentorship programs\n, • Employee discounts\n, • Access to employee perks like fitness class discounts and free access to a relaxation and meditation app\n, • Free financial wellness programs\n, • Daycare discount program\n, • Opportunities to volunteer and give back to your community\n, • Text DELIVER to 88300 to apply!\n
