A server, also known as a waiter or waitress, is a restaurant employee who interacts with customers to provide a good dining experience. Their role includes but not limited to: Greeting customers: Welcoming guests and directing them to their seats Taking orders: Recording food and drink orders and delivering them to the kitchen or bar Delivering food and drinks: Ensuring food is prepared correctly and delivered on time and at the correct temperature Checking on customers: Checking in with customers throughout their meal to ensure they are happy and to address any issues Clearing tables: Collecting plates and clearing the table when customers are finished Preparing checks: Preparing customers' checks and collecting payment Cleaning: Maintaining cleanliness in the dining room and helping with other restaurant tasks Memorizing the menu: Learning and memorizing menu details, including key ingredients for food allergies
