Hello. We’re currently looking for a part-time daycare assistant for our licensed home childcare program. To start, the position will be Thursdays and Fridays, with a paid trial/shadowing day scheduled on a Monday–Wednesday. As enrollment grows, hours will expand to include Mondays–Wednesdays. Responsibilities include: • Caring for children ages 2–13 (including 2 infants), with up to 6 children at a time, • Light cooking, food preparation, and regular cleaning, • Assisting with curriculum and daily activities, • Completing basic computer-based forms (food program, timesheets, etc.), • Helping with administrative tasks as needed, • Picking up children from after-school programs Schedule & Requirements: • Typical hours: 8:00 AM–6:00 PM (occasionally starting at 7:00 AM), • Comfortable working independently, • CPR & First Aid certified (or willing to obtain), • Must pass fingerprinting and background checks upon hire If this sounds like a good fit, we’d love to connect and potentially set up an interview and paid trial day. Job Summary: The monitor is responsible for conducting home inspections of licensed/registered and legally exempt day care providers ensuring standards for health and safety in accordance to state regulations. Primary Responsibilities: • Conduct announced and unannounced home visits as instructed by the director., • Review the meal pattern requirements to ensure proper implementation by the provider., • Assures the proper interpretation and implementation of the infant meal pattern., • Verify license/registration capacity of day care providers., • Review menu records during home inspections., • Ensure foods are prepared and served following food safety guidelines and quality standards., • Provide menu suggestions to encourage variety in foods and preparation methods that are consistent with healthy practices., • Knowing the importance of documenting results of onsite reviews especially when problems are identified., • Knowledge of the procedures for verification of attendance and meal counts., • Identify conditions that pose a potential threat to child safety., • Communicate provider issues with the director., • Comply with sponsoring organization’s policies and procedures., • Ensure that home visit reports are filled out correctly., • Ability to maintain an ethical and professional relationship with providers., • Follow the system for maintaining and reporting all monitoring activities., • AA in social services, nutrition or education, preferred; and/or HS Diploma, • Bilingual in Spanish/English, • Strong written and oral communication skills in Spanish/English, • Ability to interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds and diverse communication styles, • Must be comfortable with and physically able to visit daycare homes throughout New York City using mass transit (MTA), • Experience with family child care or legally-exempt child care, preferred

I need a nanny for the following days because I am going out of town for work related events. The dates of service are December 29th-January 2nd. The nanny needs to be able to arrive around 730pm and I will be back before 2am on the 2nd. The only thing that the nanny will have to do is keep my children entertained and keep them fed while i'm gone. I would also like my children to be in bed by 930pm each night and my children use melatonin, so that should not be difficult. I intend on cooking a meal for dinner that will last until I return so the only meals that the nanny will have to prepare is breakfast and lunch on tuesday, wednesday and thursday. My house will be clean and laundry will be done so the only cleaning that would need to be done by the nanny are the minor messes that my children make during the day while they play and move around my house. Also My daughter is 11 years old, and she is very independent and she will assist in any way the nanny might need her to. I am a single mother, and my finances are not the greatest so I hope I can find a nanny that will provide for my children in an amazing way and not charge too much for their services. I don't need the nanny to take them anywhere because they are very content with staying inside my home they have plenty of things inside my home to keep them entertained. My five year old son is fully potty trained, but has occasional accidents here and there but nothing major. He is also on the spectrum, but his outbursts are pretty well controlled as long as he remains in a calm environment so when the nanny is inside of my home it must remain quiet and calm. My children's bedtime routine is pretty simple and self explanatory. They eat dinner, they take 2 melatonin gummies, they take a bath and they usually fall asleep shortly after. My son also needs a lullaby video put on the TV in my bedroom. He will fall asleep regardless but this video helps him fall asleep faster.
