Location:North Chesterfield, VA Job Type:Full-Time About the Role Kids Academy CORE Foundation, Inc. is seeking an experiencedAssistant Directorto support the daily operations of ourlicensed childcare and early learning centerin North Chesterfield, Virginia. This leadership role supports theCenter Director, ensuresVDOE Child Day Center licensing compliance, and helps oversee staffing, classrooms, family engagement, and program quality. This position is ideal for candidates with experience inchildcare administration,early childhood education, ordaycare leadershipwho are looking to grow into senior leadership. Duties Key Responsibilities • Support daily operations of alicensed childcare center, including staffing, ratios, and classroom coverage, • MaintainVirginia Department of Education (VDOE)licensing compliance and documentation, • Assist withstaff supervision, coaching, training, and performance support, • Supportearly childhood curriculum implementationand classroom quality, • Assist withenrollment management, attendance, scheduling, and family records, • Serve as a point of contact for families and staff; escalate issues as needed, • Support conflict resolution and professional communication, • Assume delegatedCenter Directorresponsibilities during absences Requirements Required Qualifications Candidates must meetVDOE Child Day Center (8VAC20-780)requirements and meetoneof the following: • Bachelor’s degree inEarly Childhood Education,Child Development, or a related field, • Associate degree in a child-related field with required experience, • High school diploma or GED with required supervised programmatic experience, • Must be at least 21 years of age, • Ability to pass all requiredVirginia background checks, • CPR and First Aid certification(or ability to obtain within 30 days), • Completion of requiredpreservice and annual childcare training, • Working knowledge ofVirginia childcare licensing regulations, • Experience working in alicensed daycare or early learning center, • Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills, • Experience supportingstaff training and compliance, • Experience withfamily engagementand enrollment support, • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds, • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and supervise children for extended periods, • Manual dexterity for classroom and emergency response activities, • NegativeTB screeningas required by Virginia licensing regulations, • Maintenance of required health clearances throughout employment, • Completion ofDaily Health Observation (DHO)training, • Completion ofEmergency Preparedness and Responsetraining, • Compliance with communicable disease reporting and exclusion requirements, • Employment application, • Resume, • Official transcripts or certificates, • Three professional references, • Copies of required certifications, • Brief statement of educational philosophy and commitment to STE(AI)M integration Benefits Compensation and Benefits • Compensation:Based on experience and qualifications, • Benefits: Paid holidays, professional development opportunities, • Additional benefits may apply, • Enrollment Bonus
