BARTENDER POSITION OVERVIEW Our bartenders deliver exceptional, courteous service in alignment with hotel standards while efficiently preparing high-quality alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for guests. This role requires thorough knowledge of standard drink recipes and the ability to mix beverages accurately and quickly. Bartenders must verify guest identification to ensure compliance with minimum drinking age requirements, take and fulfill drink orders, collect payment, and proactively suggest food and beverage options to enhance the guest experience. Maintaining cleanliness, ensuring proper sanitation, and resolving guest concerns to ensure optimal satisfaction are essential functions of this role. This industry operates seven (7) days a week, twenty-four (24) hours a day. Regular attendance, in accordance with company standards, is essential for success. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience., • Certification in an alcohol-awareness program., • Computer skills required; familiarity with Microsoft Office and food & beverage POS systems preferred., • Strong command of the English language with excellent written and verbal communication skills., • 1-2 years of food and beverage experience preferred., • Previous cash-handling experience preferred, along with training in liquor, wine, and food service., • Guest/customer relations experience strongly preferred. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS • Minimum of 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages., • Ability to lift/transport at least 50 pounds and push/pull up to 150 pounds., • Ability to perform various physical movements throughout work areas., • Must be able to work in variable temperature conditions and noise levels, both indoors and outdoors., • Must be able to stand and move at a steady pace for up to 8 hours., • Must wear flat, closed-toe, non-slip shoes. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES • Prepare all drink orders for guests according to established recipes and standards., • Complete consumption reports promptly and accurately; complete bottle transfer slips and spill sheets legibly and per procedure., • Maintain a thorough understanding of all menu items, liquor brands, beers, and non-alcoholic offerings in the outlet., • Maintain knowledge of characteristics and descriptions of all wines/champagnes by the glass and major wine list selections., • Understand glassware, ingredients, preparation methods, and garnishes for each drink., • Complete all opening, closing, and assigned side duties.
