Job Description JOB VACANCY: COMMERCIAL LOAN SPECIALIST HR Consulting Solutions, LLC is a national executive search firm that has been retained by Colonial Farm Credit to conduct a search for a Commercial Loan Specialist to work alongside their team in Mechanicsville, Virginia. They provide loans for land purchases, home construction, equipment, livestock, farm operations, and more. With approximately 75 employees across multiple Virginia offices, Colonial Farm Credit is proud to deliver financial solutions that strengthen rural communities. We are currently seeking to hire a Loan Specialist to support the operations of their Commercial Loan Group in Mechanicsville, Virginia. POSITION SUMMARY The Commercial Loan Specialist plays a critical role in the processing, closing, and servicing of loans within the Commercial Loan Group. This position works closely with CLG Relationship Managers to ensure all loan documentation, compliance, and customer service standards are met. The role also includes accounting responsibilities and administrative support, with frequent communication with borrowers, attorneys/settlement agents, and internal staff. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced loan processor or paralegal with strong real estate and commercial lending knowledge who thrives in a collaborative, detail-oriented environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Loan Processing & Servicing • Process consumer and non-consumer loans in the Loan Origination System (LOS) workflow, • Prepare and verify loan documentation, disburse loan proceeds, and complete post-closing verification, • Ensure compliance with loan approval conditions and closing checklists, • Maintain accurate loan files, UCC filings, insurance coverage, and other records, • Prepare loan modifications, extensions, and related documentation as required, • Verify uploaded loans and accounting forms in DocuPhase system, • Prepare payoff figures, delinquency letters, and monthly reports, • Provide loan origination interviews and assist with borrower inquiries, • Answer phones and direct calls as needed, • Associate’s degree in business, finance, or related field preferred, • 3–5 years of related loan processing, real estate paralegal, or mortgage experience (commercial lending preferred), • Knowledge of deeds, deeds of trust, mortgage notes, title insurance, and commercial real estate transactions, • Commissioned as a Notary Public (or ability to obtain upon hire), • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel; experience with loan processing software preferred, • Working knowledge of TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosure (TRID) requirements preferred, • Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills, • Superior attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities, • Competitive salary commensurate with experience and qualifications, • Outstanding benefits package including up to 9% 401(k) contributions and profit-sharing program, • Opportunity to support and strengthen Virginia’s agricultural community Powered by JazzHR 8cwlXUFbl1
