Job DescriptionDescription: The Receptionist at Bliley’s provides a professional, welcoming, and organized first point of contact for client families, guests, and callers. This role ensures smooth front-desk operations, assists with funeral arrangements and services, maintains accurate records, and supports associates in delivering an exceptional experience for every family served. Primary Duties & Responsibilities: • Answer incoming calls, take messages, provide information, and forward messages to appropriate associates., • Greet families and guests attend funerals, visitations, or arranging services, ensuring a welcoming and professional presence., • Maintain the appearance and organization of the lobby and reception area., • Track and maintain inventory of front-desk and service supplies for the front desk, services, and visitations. Place orders as appropriate., • Assist Funeral Directors in preparing and setting up for services., • Maintain an up-to-date master calendar of services, meetings, and events., • Schedule ushers for visitations and funeral ceremonies., • Operate audio/visual equipment for services and events., • Track death certificates and notify families when they are ready for pickup. Essential Job Functions: • Operational Oversight, • Maintain a professional and caring environment for client families, guests, and associates., • Monitor facility appearance, cleanliness, and readiness for services., • Oversee proper placement and presentation of decedents., • Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and service providers as needed., • Front Desk & Communication, • Professionally answer multi-line phones and provide information to callers., • Welcome families and guests, ensuring respectful and compassionate interactions., • Take and relay messages accurately to appropriate associates., • Administrative Support, • Maintain organized and clean reception area., • Manage inventory and order necessary supplies., • Maintain an accurate master calendar and schedule ushers as required., • Service Support, • Assist Directors with setup for services and events., • Operate AV equipment to ensure smooth service execution., • High School diploma or GED required., • Minimum of 2 years of experience in receptionist or administrative support roles, including multi-line phone operation and computer proficiency., • Excellent verbal and written communication skills., • Professional appearance and demeanor., • Regularly required to stand, sit, walk, reach, bend, lift, listen, talk, and perform computer keyboarding., • Ability to transport items weighing up to 25 pounds., • Must be able to stand or walk for 2-3 hours at a time., • This is a part-time (approximately 20-25 hours per week) position with a varied schedule, including nights and weekends as needed.
