Job Description Job Summary: The CAD/BIM Designer IV is a highly experienced design professional responsible for overseeing complex digital modeling, drafting, and coordination efforts across large-scale architectural and engineering projects. This role involves leading multi-disciplinary design coordination, implementing advanced modeling techniques, and setting standards to ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency across projects. The CAD/BIM Designer IV plays a key leadership role within the design team, providing expertise, guidance, and support to junior designers while managing challenging and high-stakes design tasks. Primary Essential Functions: • Lead the development of detailed and highly complex 2D and 3D CAD/BIM models, preparing construction documents, technical drawings, and digital representations that meet all project requirements., • Oversee multi-disciplinary coordination within CAD/BIM environments, integrating architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and other models into a unified and cohesive project design., • Set, enforce, and monitor CAD/BIM standards and best practices across all design stages, ensuring quality control and adherence to project specifications., • Provide expert-level guidance and mentorship to junior and intermediate designers, assisting with technical challenges, training on best practices, and ensuring consistent quality., • Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to understand project requirements, resolve design issues, and make necessary adjustments to models and documentation., • Conduct advanced quality control reviews on CAD/BIM deliverables, verifying accuracy, consistency, and compliance with industry standards, regulatory codes, and project specifications., • Develop and implement workflows that enhance efficiency and ensure seamless integration of CAD/BIM processes across large-scale projects., • Troubleshoot and resolve complex design and software issues, assisting with problem-solving across the design team., • Prepare high-quality presentations, visualizations, and 3D renderings for client and stakeholder meetings, ensuring that design intent and technical details are effectively communicated., • Performall other duties as assigned., • Work collaboratively and effectively with clients and colleagues, including cross-functional teams, peers, direct reports, and leadership, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment. Knowledge • Expert knowledge of CAD and BIM software, including proficiency in platforms like AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and other advanced modeling tools., • In-depth understanding of technical drawing standards, construction documentation, and project-specific requirements for multi-disciplinary projects., • Familiarity with regulatory codes, industry standards, and best practices in CAD/BIM design., • Advanced knowledge of building systems, components, and construction methodologies across architectural and engineering disciplines., • Exceptional proficiency in CAD/BIM modeling for developing accurate, detailed, and highly complex project designs., • Strong leadership and mentorship skills for guiding and developing junior designers., • Advanced communication skills for coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, including clients., • Analytical skills for quality control, model coordination, and solving complex design challenges., • Ability to lead large-scale, complex CAD/BIM tasks and manage design coordination across multiple disciplines., • Ability to set and enforce CAD/BIM standards across teams to maintain high-quality, consistent deliverables., • Ability to mentor, train, and support junior designers in technical skills and best practices., • Ability to troubleshoot complex modeling and design issues and implement effective solutions. Required • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree or certification in CAD, BIM, Architecture, Engineering, or related field., • Advanced certification in AutoCAD, Revit, or other BIM software., • Ability to remain seated for extended periods while working at a computer or attending meetings., • Frequent use of standard office equipment, including computers, keyboards, telephones, and printers., • Occasional light physical activity such as walking, standing, or carrying materials (30 lbs.).
