Position Overview We’re looking for a Loan Operations Commercial Closer to lead the final stages of the loan process—from due diligence through funding. You’ll be the main point of contact and process driver for commercial loans under $3 million, ensuring deals close accurately, on time, and in line with credit and legal standards. This is a highly visible, cross-functional role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values precision, and takes ownership of every detail. You'll work closely with borrowers, brokers, legal teams, and title companies to deliver a seamless loan closing experience while helping us scale Propel’s lending platform. Primary Responsibilities • End-to-End Closings: Own the entire closing process from term sheet to funding and post-close follow-up., • Document Review & Compliance: Ensure all loan docs meet credit approvals, legal standards, and internal policies., • Due Diligence: Collect and evaluate all necessary documentation—entity docs, title, survey, UCCs, insurance, flood certs, appraisals, environmental reports, and more., • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the lead communicator between internal teams, borrowers, legal counsel, and title agents., • Legal Liaison: Collaborate with attorneys to confirm enforceability, lien perfection, and closing accuracy., • Post-Closing Management: Clear collateral exceptions, complete loan booking, and ensure proper documentation flow., • Portfolio Support: Assist with loan renewals, extensions, and modifications across the commercial book. Experience & Expertise • Minimum 2 years of commercial loan closing experience required., • Proven ability to manage multiple transactions under tight timelines., • Strong knowledge of commercial collateral structures, lien perfection, and legal documentation., • Experience interfacing with executive teams, attorneys, and title companies., • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities, • High attention to detail with a commitment to precision, • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines, • Collaborative mindset with a customer-first attitude, • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word, • Law degree, paralegal certification, or equivalent experience strongly preferred
