Job Description Position Purpose: The Product Development and Compliance Chemist supports product development, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement within manufacturing. This role is responsible for formulating and improving chemical products, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving data‑driven process and product enhancements. Essential Job Functions: The Product Development and Compliance Chemist should be able to complete the following job functions: Apply chemical expertise to develop effective solutions for assigned projects Design, develop, and optimize chemical formulations to meet performance, cost, and regulatory requirements Collaborate closely with cross‑functional team members on product development initiatives and competitive analysis Analyze production, quality, and experimental data to drive process improvements and product performance optimization Research technical, quality, or compliance-related issues and present clear, actionable recommendations Support research and development initiatives for current and future products Demonstrate working knowledge of manufacturing and production operations Conduct laboratory testing and scale-up trials to support product development and process improvements Develop, implement, and maintain operating procedures, work instructions, and safety protocols for chemical products, processes, and equipment Investigate operational, quality, or compliance deviations; perform root cause analysis and support corrective and preventive actions Ensure compliance with applicable regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA, SDS/GHS labeling, and state/federal requirements), including documentation, recordkeeping, and audit support Assist in maintaining product, process, and safety documentation in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations Provide technical training, guidance, and mentorship to team members, including compliance and safety expectations Ensure adherence to all health, safety, security, environmental, and regulatory policies and procedures Education/Experience: Bachelor of Science in Chemistry (preferred) or related field Minimum of 3 years of production experience in a chemical manufacturing facility Experience supporting compliance, safety, or quality initiatives in a manufacturing environment preferred Experience with SDS authoring or regulatory documentation systems Ability to manage multiple priorities while working effectively in a team‑oriented environment Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools used to present findings and recommendations to leadership (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Strong attention to detail with effective verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated commitment to safety, compliance, and operational excellence Exceptional interpersonal skills and a proven track record of adaptability, innovation, initiative, and integrity Must have legal authorization to work in the United States Must successfully pass pre‑employment screening process Must be at least 18 years of age
