Job Description Carpenter – Division 10 Installer Job Description This role focuses on installing Division 10 specialty items in commercial environments, with an emphasis on precision, quality finish carpentry, and adherence to construction drawings and specifications. You will work on projects across multiple locations, installing a wide range of specialty products while coordinating closely with other trades and maintaining strict safety and workmanship standards. Responsibilities • Install Division 10 specialty items such as toilet partitions (plastic, phenolic, stainless steel), toilet accessories (grab bars, mirrors, dispensers), fire extinguishers and cabinets, lockers (metal, phenolic, wood), corner guards, wall protection, door protection, signage, flagpoles, projection screens, and cubicle curtain tracks and accessories., • Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications to plan and execute accurate installations., • Accurately measure, lay out, level, and plumb all installations to ensure proper alignment and function., • Coordinate work with general contractors, supervisors, and other trades to maintain project schedules and workflow., • Perform minor carpentry tasks, including drilling, anchoring, and fastening, as required to complete installations., • Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for cutting, fastening, and assembling materials., • Inspect completed work to verify quality, alignment, and compliance with project specifications and standards., • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas throughout the duration of each project., • Follow OSHA and site-specific safety requirements at all times, including the use of appropriate tools and equipment., • Focus on precision and accuracy rather than speed, and limit rework by maintaining high standards of craftsmanship., • Travel between project sites, including locations such as San Antonio, Corpus Christi, and Austin, as required. Essential Skills • Experience in commercial finish carpentry or Division 10 specialty installation preferred., • Strong understanding of construction drawings, blueprints, and field layouts., • Hands-on experience installing partitions, lockers, or accessories in commercial environments is highly desirable., • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and fastening systems., • Ability to perform both finish and rough carpentry tasks, including drywall-related work when required., • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining productivity and quality., • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship, with a focus on precision over speed., • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work safely on ladders and lifts., • Reliable transportation to travel between job sites and maintain punctual attendance., • OSHA 10 certification., • Experience using hand and power tools for construction, carpentry, finish carpentry, cabinetry, trim work, doors, metal stud installation, and related installation tasks. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Commercial construction environments, including work on large, complex job sites., • Experience with drywall, rough carpentry, and blueprint reading beyond basic levels., • Comfort working with a variety of Division 10 products, including toilet partitions, lockers, and specialty accessories., • Ability to coordinate effectively with multiple trades and adapt to changing site conditions., • Strong problem-solving skills to address field conditions and ensure installations meet specifications., • Willingness to travel regularly between San Antonio, Corpus Christi, and Austin, with per diem support when applicable., • Interest in long-term employment and contributing to the growth of a developing team. The role involves regular travel between San Antonio, Corpus Christi, and Austin, with work performed both indoors and outdoors depending on site conditions. You will use a variety of hand and power tools, work on ladders and lifts, and operate within OSHA and site-specific safety guidelines. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Antonio, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
