This role focuses on interior trim carpentry in new construction homes, along with installation of cabinets, retractable awnings, and screen rooms. The ideal candidate takes pride in precision work, works efficiently in occupied and unoccupied job sites, and represents the company professionally with builders and homeowners. Primary Responsibilities • Install interior trim in new construction homes, including:, • Baseboards, casing, crown molding, window and door trim, • Interior doors and hardware, • Stair parts, rails, and specialty trim details, • Install and assist with:, • Kitchen and bath cabinets, • Retractable awnings, • Screen rooms and enclosure systems, • Read and interpret plans, specs, and work orders, • Accurately measure, cut, and install materials to high quality standards, • Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites, • Communicate with supervisors, builders, and homeowners as needed, • Identify potential issues and report them before they become problems, • Follow company installation standards and safety procedures, • Protect finished surfaces and customer property at all timesQualifications, • 3+ years of carpentry or trim installation experience (preferred), • Strong knowledge of interior trim techniques and tools, • Experience with cabinets, awnings, or screen rooms is a plus (training available), • Ability to read a tape measure accurately and consistently, • Reliable transportation and valid drivers license, • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on ladders and scaffolding, • Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship, • Dependable, punctual, and professionalTools & Equipment, • Must have basic hand tools required for trim and carpentry work, • Company provides specialty tools, equipment, and materials Work Schedule • Full-time, MondayFriday, • Occasional overtime as neededCompensation & Benefits, • Competitive pay based on experience, • Opportunities for advancement and increased responsibility, • Consistent work with established builders and clients, • Supportive team environment with clear expectations and standardsWhy Work at Hayward Contracting, • Steady pipeline of new construction and specialty projects, • Variety of work trim, cabinets, awnings, and screen rooms, • Clear processes, training, and growth opportunities, • Company that values craftsmanship and professionalism
