Job DescriptionJob Title: Carpenter Foreman Job Description This role oversees carpentry work on new residential construction projects, with a strong focus on both rough and finish carpentry. You will lead a crew in performing tasks such as backing, blocking, trim installation, cabinetry, and door installation while ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to project plans and timelines. Responsibilities • Lead and supervise carpentry crews on new residential construction projects., • Perform rough carpentry tasks, including framing, backing, and blocking according to project specifications., • Execute finish carpentry work such as trim, cabinetry, and door installation with a high level of precision and craftsmanship., • Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings to plan and lay out carpentry tasks., • Coordinate daily work activities to meet project schedules and maintain productivity., • Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and complies with project requirements., • Collaborate with other trades and site personnel to maintain an efficient workflow on the job site., • Ensure proper use, care, and storage of tools, equipment, and materials., • Promote and follow safe work practices to maintain a secure job site environment.Essential Skills, • Minimum of 5 years of residential carpentry experience., • Strong proficiency in rough carpentry, including framing, backing, and blocking., • Advanced finish carpentry skills, including trim work, cabinetry, and door installation., • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings., • Proven experience leading or supervising carpentry crews on residential projects., • Solid understanding of residential construction methods and standards., • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship., • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines., • Reliable work ethic with the ability to work full shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience installing a variety of interior and exterior doors and trim profiles., • Familiarity with a wide range of carpentry tools and power equipment used in residential construction., • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during rough and finish carpentry work., • Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and site supervisors.Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based on active residential construction sites, working primarily outdoors and in partially enclosed structures as homes progress from framing through final finishes. Standard hours are 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. You regularly use carpentry hand tools and power tools, and you work on ladders, scaffolding, and other typical construction-site setups. Attire should be appropriate for a construction environment, including durable work clothing and safety footwear, along with any required personal protective equipment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Papillion, NE. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
