Job Description Electrician Installer - HVAC Controls Focused - Data Center Environment $28–34/hr DOE TEC Electric is hiring Electrician Installers to support the installation of low voltage building automation systems (BAS), control wiring, and associated electrical infrastructure on commercial projects. This is a field-based role focused heavily on installation (not programming), working alongside controls technicians and project teams to ensure systems are installed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Install EMT, rigid, and PVC conduit for low-voltage HVAC control systemsRun and terminate low-voltage control wiring and signal circuits, • Install cable tray, duct banks, and associated supportsMount and install control panels, enclosures, and field devices, • Perform terminations for control, power, and communication wiring, • Assist with installation of HVAC sensors, actuators, and control components, • Follow control drawings, electrical schematics, and project plans, • Support commissioning and startup teams during project closeout, • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site QUALIFICATIONS Must-Have: • 3+ years of experience as an electrician (commercial, industrial, or solar preferred), • Experience with conduit installation (EMT, rigid, PVC), • Experience pulling wire and performing electrical terminations, • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics, • Strong understanding of job site safety practices (OSHA standards), • Reliable transportation and ability to travel to job sites as needed WORK ENVIRONMENT & EXPECTATIONS • Field-based role working on active construction and industrial job sites, • 10 hour days required, • Must be able to lift, climb, bend, and work in physically demanding conditions, • Standard working hours may vary based on project schedules and deadlines WHY TEC ELECTRIC TEC Electric offers the opportunity to work on large-scale commercial projects while gaining exposure to the rapidly growing building automation and controls field.
